Food

The Teachings practiced at Oruhu include giving meaning and paramount importance to the natural foods of the Earth for our Nourishment, Well-being, Health and Vitality.

Foods consumed at Waka Wasi are locally grown and produced as much as possible, basically vegetarian or vegan; and prepared as simply, cleanly and organically as possible

Importance is also given to the quantity of food and the times of meals, both of which are part of nurturing the human body as optimally as possible.

Much attention is given to food and nutrition at Oruhu, to complement the idea of an environment in which higher frequencies and consciousness can be reached, connecting more and more with Cosmic Consciousness, the One, the All.

DAILY ACTIVITIES

Connecting with Mother Earth is a basic and important part of the Essene Teachings.

So being in contact with Nature will be a daily and continuous experience at Oruhu. The location, the peacefulness and tranquility of Waka Wasi make it an ideal place for these Teachings.

Part of daily life at Waka Wasi will be dedicated to sharing daily chores and tasks to keep it in good and reverent shape. These tasks include gardening, watering, and some construction and maintenance work. We pay special attention to our wastes and practice re-use of almost all our residual products. Basically, taking care of the land and connecting with Mother Nature.

The Essenes lived in communities where generally these kinds of tasks were performed in the morning hours before the Seven-Fold Peace meditation followed by lunch at the zenith of the Sun. Then the afternoons were free for personal tasks, studies or Creativity. Evenings they gathered to meditate and commune with one of the Celestial Energies before retiring to rest with the Angel of Sleep.

Oruhu intends to follow this idea as closely as possible
